BTC cost basis distribution
Y-axis: log(1+x) · Heights are not directly proportional to BTC amounts.

Key changes over the period
Calculated on the selected date using original $1,000 price ranges. The range containing the BTC price is listed separately because its profit/loss split is unknown.
Net increases and decreases are calculated separately for each cost basis range. They are not trading volume and do not identify movements between ranges.
Net change by price range
Macro Timing · Long-term cycle valuation
NUPL reference bands do not confirm tops or bottoms. The suggested rules have not been backtested.
Classification rules
Uses network-wide data on the selected date, independently of chart cohort and bucket size. MVRV = Price / Realized Price; NUPL = 1 − 1/MVRV. They are not independent confirmations. Bands use unrounded values; Z-Score requires market-cap history.

Valuation & profit/loss
MVRV = market cap / realized cap. NUPL = 1 − 1/MVRV. These are mathematically related, not independent confirmations. They are not trading signals.
The bucket crossing current price remains unclassified. BTC percentages are not percentages of holders.
Cost-basis percentiles
Show all q01–q99
Each percentile is a price interval; no false precision is interpolated from aggregated data.
Supply near current price
The bucket crossing current price remains unclassified. BTC percentages are not percentages of holders.
Price scenario
Holds the UTXO distribution and cost basis fixed. This is a hypothetical calculation, not a price or selling forecast.
Coin age
Age is time since UTXO last moved, not the age of its owner. Displayed only after all 23 cohorts reconcile.
Price-range details
Distribution on selected date
Shows only BTC on the selected date, without changes from the previous snapshot. Bars above 1 million BTC are shortened and marked with an arrow.
